Maria Mena - spotted

Maria has contributed to a project for CARE Norge alongside the athlete Ezinne Okparaebo (she competes in athletics, in the 100 meters and 200 meters), the actress Iben Akerlie, ballet dancer Maiko Nishino, fashion profile og founder Celine Aagaard. CARE Norge supports women's rights. The video that was made was financially supported by the clothes shop H&M.

So I just spotted that Platekompaniet (the biggest Norwegian record store) will release the CD White Turns Blue on January 27th: platekompaniet.no/cd/white-turns-blue/. It's a re-release of a CD that's been out of production for several years now. Maybe the record company is working on making more copies of Maria's CDs that haven't been available for a while, this past year all the records became available on vinyl.

This morning Maria performed a version of "Home for Christmas" that was translated to Norwegian, together with another Norwegian artist and poet, Trygve Skaug, on the radio show P3morgen (at NRKP3). As NRKP3's article stated (p3.no/musikk/maria-menas-julehit-pa-norsk/), Trygve Skaug is the one who has done this translation of the song that Maria performed today. This week journalist who writes for the Norwegian women's magazine KK posted on Instagram that she had met Maria for a feature in the magazine, going to print for the Easter week. Source is here (in Norwegian): instagram.com/p/BPn6H5Qh6hF/.

It looks like Maria has been doing a photoshoot for the magazine Elle Norway today. She's wearing a t-shirt with "Elle" on it on this picture: instagram.com/p/BSQi3xWhpR5/?taken-by=mariamena_official and Elle Norway's stylist Caroline Skjelbred has commented on the picture. I don't know what it's related to, though. We'll see!
